Vineyards

Vinhos Desviso vineyards surround the winery and benefit from the unique conditions created by the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean.

The vineyards are generally south facing with the predominant soil types of clay-loam and sandy clay-loam soil.

In 2023 two hectares were planted with the red varieties Baga and Touriga Nacional. In 2024 a further 4 hectares were planted with the white varieties Arinto, Gouveio, Encruzado and Bical. In 2025, three and a half hectares were added with the red varieties Tinta Miúda, Tinta Roriz, Ramisco and Castelão, and the white varieties Sercial/Esgana Cão and Gouveio. In 2026 one more hectare of Arinto was added, for a total of about 10,5 hectares.

The commitment to sustainable and organic agricultural practices has been a priority since day one. After undergoing the official process of organic certification, the vineyards are now fully certified for organic production.
