Vineyards

Vinhos Desviso vineyards surround the winery and benefit from the unique conditions created by the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean.

The vineyards are generally south facing with the predominant soil types of clay-loam and sandy clay-loam soil.

The commitment to sustainable and organic agricultural practices has been a priority since day one, as such the vineyards are undergoing the official process of organic certification.

In 2023 two hectares were planted with the red varieties Baga and Touriga Nacional. In 2024 a further 4 hectares were planted with the white varieties Arinto, Gouveio, Encruzado and Bical. In 2025, three and a half hectares were added with the red varieties Tinta Miúda, Tinta Roriz, Ramisco and Castelão, and the white varieties Sercial/Esgana Cão and Gouveio.

Further planting will continue in 2026 with a mix of white and red native Portuguese grape varieties for a total of approximately 10,5 hectares.
